Horsethief Campground is a Bureau of Land Management campground on the Moab Field Office land in Utah. It sits within the Moab Field Office's network of recreation sites, about a mile from the Horsethief Group Sites and the Horsetheif Campground Trail. The campground has restrooms and charges a $20 per site per night camping fee, payable at a self-service station with exact cash or check only. The fee is set by Recreation.gov's records, and the site is not reservable. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Canyonlands-The Neck weather station, about 9 miles away, run from highs near 72°F in May to 65°F in October. Summer highs typically reach the low 90s. Nearby, the Chisholm Trail hike is about a mile away and Four Arch Canyon is roughly 4 miles off. Cowboy Camp Campground is about 2 miles away, and Lone Mesa Group Sites is about 3.6 miles away.
