Sidewinder is a short, moderate mountain biking route on Bureau of Land Management land within the Moab Field Office in Utah, about a third of a mile from the Moab Canyon Pathway. It is an out-and-back of about 0.66 miles with a climb of 47 feet, taking you from roughly 4,566 feet to about 4,618 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Arches National Park headquarters, which sits about 525 feet lower, run around 70°F in April and 72°F in October, while July highs average near 99°F. Several trails start within a short distance. The Rusty Spur Trail and the Rusty Spur mountain bike route are each about 0.2 miles away, and the Moab Canyon Pathway is also close by. Climbers can reach Little Valley, about 1.6 miles away, and campers can look to Gold Bar Group Sites, about 4.5 miles away.
