Corkscrew Trail is a short mountain biking route in Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, within the Pleasant Grove Ranger District and Lambert Park on city land. The out-and-back ride covers about 0.7 miles with an elevation gain of 185 feet, from a low of about 5,170 feet to a high of about 5,380 feet. It is an easy route, and its length and climb make it a quick stop rather than a full-day outing. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall stand out. Typical averages from the Alpine, Utah weather station, about a mile away, run to highs near 71°F in May and 79°F in September. July is the warmest month, with highs around 89°F. The trail sits close to other options. The Invincible Trail and the Bonneville Shoreline Trail - Alpine East Section are each about 0.1 mile away. Climbers can head to the South Side Boulders, about 1.3 miles off, and paddlers to the American Fork, about 3 miles away.
