It runs within the High Uintas Wilderness, on the Heber-Kamas Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah, which the Forest Service manages. The Skinner Cutoff Trail starts just 0.2 miles away, and the Skinner Cutoff mountain biking route is about 0.6 miles off. Packard Lake, a fishing spot, is about 0.7 miles away. Climbers can head to Wall Of Tiers, about 3.1 miles away, and the Moosehorn campground lies about 3.7 miles out.
