Wheeler Creek-East Fork is a 5.5-mile out-and-back hike on natural surface in the Ogden Ranger District of Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah. The route rises about 725 feet from 5,493 feet to 6,204 feet and is rated moderate. The trail is open to both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible route, so plan for regular foot travel if you're not riding or packing a mount. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Pineview Dam weather station, about 3.5 miles away, show June highs near 77°F and July highs near 87°F, with lows around 50°F. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures up high run cooler. The Wheeler Creek Middle Fork Trail starts just 0.1 mile away. Green Pond, a mountain biking area, is 0.6 mile off. Maples Campground is about 2.2 miles away, and climbers can head to Snowbasin, about 2.4 miles out.
