Wheeler Creek Trail is a moderate out-and-back hike in the Ogden Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah. The trail is about 8.8 miles long, with a one-way climb of roughly 1,000 feet from a low point of about 5,450 feet to a high of about 6,310 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Pineview Dam weather station show June highs around 77°F and September highs around 75°F, while July climbs to about 87°F and winter highs stay near freezing. The Great Western Trail - Utah and the Maples Winter cross-country ski route both start about 0.1 mile away, and Maples Campground is about 0.7 mile off. Climbers can head to Snowbasin, about 1.8 miles away.
