Under the Point Trail is an out-and-back hike of about 8.5 miles in the Escalante Ranger District of Dixie National Forest in southern Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from a low point of about 7,950 feet to a high of about 8,920 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 1,124 feet. It is rated hard. The trail is on natural surface, and horses are allowed. Bikes are not. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Bryce Canyon put July highs around 80°F with lows near 52°F, and the station sits about 1,000 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures up top run cooler. Jungle Grotto and North Boulder are climbing areas about a mile away, and Henderson Canyon Trail and Powell Point Trail are hikes within about 1.6 miles. Pine Lake Campground is about 3.4 miles off.
