Trail Hollow is a 3.9-mile out-and-back hike in the Duchesne Ranger District of Ashley National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 7,387 feet to about 8,736 feet, a climb of 1,338 feet one way, and is rated moderate. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Moon Lake weather station, which sits a few hundred feet lower, show July and August highs around 77°F with lows in the upper 40s. Winter is cold, with January highs near 31°F and lows around 7°F. The trail is on natural surface, and both horses and bikes are allowed. Hades campground sits just 0.1 mile away, and Iron Mine campground is about 1.6 miles off. The Duchesne River, about 1.8 miles away, offers canoeing, and the Hades-Rocky Sea Pass hike is about 3.6 miles away.
