Steves Wash is a hard hike in the Richfield Ranger District of Fishlake National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back of about 12.6 miles, with a one-way climb of roughly 1,600 feet from a low point of about 5,650 feet to a high of about 7,050 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Salina put July highs around 80°F with lows near 53°F, while winter highs stay in the low 30s. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows bikes. Several other outings sit within a few miles, including the Steves Basin and Clear Creek hikes and the Great Western Trail. For an overnight base, the Salina Creek Second Crossing Trailhead is about 4 miles away.
