Red Sands is an easy out-and-back hike in Snow Canyon State Park in Utah, managed by State Park and Recreation. The route is about 3.4 miles long, with a low point of 3,324 feet and a high of 3,448 feet, and the one-way climb is about 123 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in St. George show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 79°F, while July averages about 102°F and January lows drop to about 28°F. Several other spots sit within a short distance. Hidden Pinyon and the Equestrian Trail are both about 0.4 miles away, and the Climbing Area at Circus Wall is about 0.4 miles off.
