Red Mountain is a moderate out-and-back hike in Utah, about half a mile from the town of Ivins. The route is roughly 7.6 miles long, with a one-way climb of about 1,836 feet from a low point of 3,190 feet to a high of 4,913 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 75°F and October highs around 71°F, while July averages about 92°F and January highs sit near 48°F. Several other trails start close by, including Churchfield Trail, Toe and Berm, each within about a mile. Climbers can find Shotgun Alley about 2 miles away.
