North Flat is a 2.15-mile hike in the Sanpete Ranger District of Manti-La Sal National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back with a 416-foot climb from about 8,550 feet to about 8,976 feet. It is rated hard and has a natural surface, and bikes are allowed. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Electric Lake weather station, which sits a few hundred feet lower, show July highs around 74°F and lows near 41°F, with June and August close behind. The North Flat Cutoff lies just 0.3 miles away, and Left Fork Fourmile Creek Ridge is about 1.5 miles off. Climbers can head to Schoolhouse Rock, about 2.1 miles away, and Four Mile is roughly 2.3 miles away.
