Neffs Canyon is a moderate out-and-back hike in the Salt Lake Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 5.6 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 1,968 feet, starting at roughly 6,760 feet and reaching about 8,765 feet at the high point. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Alta weather station, at a similar elevation, show July highs around 73°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay around 30°F. The trail is not accessible. Chadbourne Crag, a climbing area, sits about half a mile away, and the Neff's Canyon climbing area is about a mile off. Wildcat Ridge is a hike about 1.3 miles away. For an overnight stay, Jordan Pines Campground is about 5.8 miles away.
