Maughan Hollow is a moderate out-and-back hike in the Logan Ranger District of Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 4.2 miles long and gains about 970 feet, starting from a low of around 5,500 feet to a high of about 6,500 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Laketown show July highs around 81°F with lows near 51°F, while winter brings highs in the 30s and regular snow days. The trail is natural-surface and allows both bikes and horses. It is not an accessible trail. Lodge Campground sits just 0.6 miles away, and Little Cottonwood is 0.9 miles off. Climbers can head to Right Hand Fork, about 1.2 miles away, and Little Ricks Canyon is 1.4 miles away.
