Long Hollow Trail is an easy, 1.6-mile out-and-back hike in the Ashdown Gorge Wilderness, within the Cedar City Ranger District of Dixie National Forest in southern Utah. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail's natural surface makes it a simple walk over a short distance, with a high point of 8,503 feet and an elevation gain of 318 feet. The most comfortable time to go is summer. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station at Brian Head run around 71°F for the high and 42°F for the low, and the station sits about 1,300 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the trail tend to run cooler. Winter is cold there, with typical January highs near 30°F and lows around 10°F. The trail stays open year-round. Crystal Springs Trail lies about half a mile away, and Blowhard Trail is under a mile off. For an overnight stay, Cedar Canyon campground is about 1.8 miles away.
