Hidden Canyon is a short, easy hike in Zion National Park in Utah, a National Park Service unit about a mile from the park's boundaries. The trail rises about 450 feet over roughly a mile, from a low of about 4,850 feet to a high of about 5,340 feet. The trail is closed indefinitely, so plan on a stop at the trailhead rather than a walk. A fee is charged for the visit. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 73°F in April to 78°F in October, while July highs average about 100°F. That station sits nearly 1,300 feet below the canyon, so temperatures on the route run cooler. The Hidden Canyon Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and Angel's Landing and Cerberus Gendarme are both about 0.6 mile off. Watchman Campground lies about 5.6 miles away.
