Equestrian Trail is a 7.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Pine Valley Ranger District of Dixie National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The route rises from a low point of 6,637 feet to a high of 7,081 feet, with a total elevation gain of 362 feet. It is rated moderate. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically May and September. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Cedar City show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 77°F, with July the warmest month at about 87°F. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the trail run cooler.
