Canyon Glen Park Access Trail is an easy hike of about 0.6 miles, roughly 0.3 miles one way, in Canyon Glen Park on city land. It sits within the Pleasant Grove Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, about 0.1 miles from the Provo River Parkway and within the Provo Canyon area. The trail is an out-and-back. It starts at about 5,000 feet and reaches around 5,250 feet, with a total elevation gain of 240 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Deer Creek Dam, at a similar elevation, show July highs around 86°F with lows near 49°F, while September cools to highs around 75°F. The Provo River Parkway lies just 0.1 miles away, and the Aqueduct Trail is about 0.6 miles off. Climbers can head to Provo Canyon, about a mile away, and Hope campground is roughly 1.8 miles from the trail.
