Beck Hill is a short, easy out-and-back hike on Bureau of Land Management land in the St. George Field Office of southern Utah. The route is about 2.8 miles long, with a low point of 3,048 feet and a high of 3,357 feet, which makes the elevation gain about 294 feet one way. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in St. George show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 79°F, while July highs average about 102°F. Several other hikes start within a tenth of a mile, including Turtle Wall and Chuckwalla. The Shady Side West climbing area is about half a mile away, and the Santa Clara River, about 9 miles off, offers canoeing.
