Lake Catherine is a fishing lake in Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, within the Salt Lake Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the lake sits among a cluster of other lakes and trails, making it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Silver Lake Brighton, which sits about 1,200 feet lower than the lake, show July highs around 72°F with lows near 47°F. That station's figures run cooler than conditions at the lake itself. Lake Martha and Lake Mary are both within a mile, and the Sunset Peak Trail and Brighton Ridge Run are hiking options just 0.3 miles away. For an overnight stay, Albion Basin campground is about a mile off.
