Hydrophobia is a bouldering area in Texas, about 0.3 miles from the town of Blum. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Nolan River just 0.5 miles away and Different Strokes Wall and Pilgrims Pride & Jizzercise Boulders each about 0.6 miles off. The area is a compact, close-to-town destination for boulderers. The climbing here is all bouldering, with seven routes spread across the V1 to V6 range. The easiest is Lava River A.K.A. Arachnophobia at V1, and the hardest is Undertow at V6. Jim Day is listed as the first ascender on several of the routes, including Cesspool, Flood and Dissolution. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Cleburne show April highs around 76°F and October highs around 78°F, while July and August average about 95°F. For an overnight stay, Kimball Bend Park is about 6 miles away and Plowman Creek is about 8 miles away.
