Big Rocks Park is a city-managed climbing area in Texas, sitting on its own land unit within the city's park system. It is a bouldering destination, with 31 routes spread across the park, and it makes an easy pairing with the Alpha Group and Bravo Group climbing areas, which lie just 0.3 and 0.4 miles away. The routes here are all boulders, and they range from the easiest V0- to V4. The easiest of them include Yukon Cornelius (V0-) and They Don't Get Much Easier Than This (V0), while UFO is the hardest at V4. The park's boulders are a compact cluster, so it works well as a short stop rather than a full-day outing. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Rainbow, Texas, show April highs around 77°F and October highs around 79°F, while July and August average about 96°F. For a change from climbing, Rocky Ridge Trail and Denio Trail are both about 3.5 miles away.
