100 Proof Roof is a bouldering area within Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site in Texas, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with The Big Time, The Grenade and The Small Potatoes all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, and the routes range from V3 to V14. The namesake route, 100 Proof Roof, is a V3, and Sôl Adûnâmentum is the hardest at V14. Mexican Chicken is a V6, and Dope Fiend is another V3. The area is a compact, close-knit set of problems, so you can easily move between them in a single visit. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in El Paso show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 76°F, while June and July average highs near 93°F with more wet days. The Pond Trail and Nature Trail are both about 0.2 mile away, and the Basin Area Trail is about 0.3 mile away, so a short walk is easy to fit in before or after climbing.
