Creekside is a climbing area on the Cumberland Trail in Tennessee, set among a cluster of other climbing spots that sit about 0.1 mile apart. Deep Creek, Main Wall and Tea and Crumpets Wall are all within a tenth of a mile, so the area works well as a single stop with several options close together. The climbing here is all sport, and the routes run from about 5.10a to 5.11c. The most notable are Creekside, a 5.10c, and Shenanigans, a 5.11c. Back In The Saddle, at 5.10a, is the easiest of the six routes, and Airnet, at 5.11a, is the hardest of the lower grades. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 70°F with lows near 47°F, and April is similar at about 71°F by day and 47°F at night. That station sits roughly 470 feet lower than the area, so temperatures on the trail run a little cooler. For a change from the rock, Overlook Mine path is about 0.9 mile away, and Soddy Lake Loop is about 2.5 miles off.
