Conspiracy Buttress is a sport climbing area on the Cumberland Trail in Tennessee, set among a cluster of climbing spots that make this corner of the trail a compact destination for climbers. It sits about 0.1 mile from Good Samaritan Buttress and 0.2 mile from Big Soddy Gorge, so it pairs easily with those areas for a full day of climbing. The routes here are all sport climbs, and they run from about 5.10d up to 5.13a. Among them are Illuminati Alumni, a 5.10d, and Monatomic Gold, a 5.13a. The area's grade range makes it a destination for climbers comfortable with 5.10 and 5.12 climbing. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Soddy Daisy run to highs around 71°F in April and 70°F in October, while July highs average about 88°F. That station sits roughly 550 feet lower than the buttress, so temperatures on the cliff run a little cooler. Other climbing areas close by include Creekside, about 0.4 mile away, and Deep Creek, also about 0.4 mile away. For a break from the rock, Overlook Mine path is a hike about 0.9 mile away.
