Old Loggers Path is a short, out-and-back cross-country ski route in Loyalsock State Forest in Pennsylvania, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. The trail is about half a mile long, with a high point of 1,896 feet and a low of 1,881 feet, so the climb is minimal. The steepest stretch comes early on, at about 6 percent grade, and the route is essentially flat for the rest of the way. Winter is the natural season for this trail. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Canton, PA, show January highs around 33°F with lows near 15°F, and the station sits roughly 750 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the path run cooler. Several other destinations lie within a couple of miles. Rock Run and the Ridge Area are climbing areas about a mile away, and the Sullivan Mountain Loop and Old Crandalltown Trail are hiking options.
