The road is short and gentle, with an out-and-back route of about 1.7 miles and a total climb of about 245 feet. The road starts and ends at roughly 2,450 feet, and the steepest stretch runs near the middle, with a grade of about 8 percent. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Coudersport, which sits a few hundred feet lower, show January highs around 30°F and lows near 14°F.
