S.B.R. Block is a climbing area on State Game Land 051 in Pennsylvania, managed by State Fish and Wildlife. It sits among a cluster of other climbing areas, with Crack World and Tunnel Block each about 0.1 mile away, and Bulge Block at the same distance. The area is a compact hub of sport and trad routes, with grades ranging from 5.6 to 5.11. The climbing here is a mix of styles. Of the 12 routes, seven are sport, three are trad and two are top rope. The easiest is Drill Queen at 5.6, and the hardest is Backscratcher Direct at 5.11. Tip and Tap is a 5.10a sport route, and SBR Left is a 5.9+ trad route. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Chalk Hill run to highs around 79°F in July, with lows near 55°F. Winters are cold, with January highs around 34°F. For a change from the rock, the Pimo Rocks Trail is about 2 miles away, and Kentuck Campground is roughly 5 miles off. Redstone Creek, a paddling spot, is about 7.5 miles away.
