The Noncensus Area is a climbing area in Tohickon Valley Park in Pennsylvania, about 0.1 mile from Ralph Stover State Park (High Rocks) and from the climbing areas of l. Hawk's Nest and o. Chain Reaction Buttress. It sits among several named climbing spots, making it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the park's rock. The area has five routes, four of which are trad and one is sport. The grades range from 5.4 to 5.10d, with the hardest being the sport route Noncensus Direct, first climbed by Bob Markland around 2002. The trad routes include Oh Promise Me (5.4), Squatting Room Only (5.6) and The Hearth (5.8). For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from the nearby Bucksville weather station show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 85°F. Chief Running Deer Trail is about 2 miles away, and Mimi's Trail is about 4.5 miles away across the state line in New Jersey.
