Kiss of the Lepers Buttress is a climbing area inside Smith Rock State Park in Oregon, managed as city land. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots and trails, which makes it easy to fit into a longer visit to the park. The area holds five routes, four of them sport and one a trad climb. Grades range from 5.7 to 5.12c. Among the named routes are First Kiss at 5.7 and You're Tearing Me Richard! at 5.9, a trad climb with a first ascent in February 2016, and The Climb at 5.12c. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the sweet spots. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 79°F. July and August are the warmest months, with highs near 88°F. The closest neighbors are the Misery Ridge Trail and the Mesa Verde Trail, both about 0.1 mile away, and the Monkey Face climbing area. For an overnight stay, Skull Hollow campground is about 4 miles off.
