Connector is a short, easy mountain biking route in Oregon, about half a mile from the town of Keas Corner. It's an out-and-back with a total climb of about 180 feet, so you can ride it in under an hour and return to your starting point. The route is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at the beginning. The climb starts at about 1,655 feet and reaches a high point of 1,713 feet before descending back to the start. The steepest grade is about 9 percent, and the whole trip is under half a mile long. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Corvallis show July and August highs around 82 to 83°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on most days. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the climb run cooler. Several other trails are close by. Iris Meadow and Rocky Trail are both hikes within a mile, and the mountain biking routes Stick in the Eye and Carnival are each about 0.7 to 0.8 miles away.
