Whig and Torrey Way is a 4.1-mile out-and-back hike in the Waldo Lake Wilderness, part of the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon. The nearest town is McCredie Springs, about 15 miles away, and the Forest Service manages the land. The trail is rated moderate, with a total climb of about 517 feet and a steepest stretch of about 10% grade at roughly 0.76 miles. The route starts at about 5,475 feet and reaches a high point of about 5,493 feet before returning to the start. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Odell Lake show July and August highs around 73 to 74°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days. Horses are allowed, and the trail surface is natural. Bikes are not. Fields Lake Trail #3579 and Harralson are both within about 2 miles, and North Waldo campground is about 2 miles away.
