Jim Weaver Loop at Waldo Lake is a 19.8-mile loop in the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated hard, with a one-way elevation gain of 1,207 feet, and it starts at about 5,487 feet, rising to a high point of 5,732 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 4.6 miles in, where the grade reaches 8%. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Odell Lake show July and August highs around 73 to 74°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days. Bikes are allowed on the natural-surface trail, and North Waldo campground sits just 0.2 miles away. The North Waldo Shoreline and Harralson Tie Trail are both within half a mile. Islet Campground is about a mile off.
