Stuart Falls Trail is a 6.4-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon's Sky Lakes Wilderness, within the High Cascades Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is rated hard, with a total elevation gain of 1,034 feet over the round trip. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.97 miles in, where the grade reaches 16%. The trail starts at roughly 5,428 feet and peaks at about 6,082 feet. Horses are allowed, but the trail is not accessible, and bikes are not. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Crater Lake show July and August highs around 69°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 30s and rain on 17 or 18 days. The trail is open year-round, and the trip takes about 2.5 hours. Lucky Camp Loop is just 0.6 miles away, and Pumice Flat Trail and Mckie Camp are both within about 2.5 miles. For an overnight stay, Bessie Shelter is about 4.8 miles off.
