Scotty Way is a 2.6-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon's Mount Washington Wilderness, within the McKenzie River Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest. The trail climbs from about 5,048 feet to 5,762 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,471 feet over the round trip. The route is rated hard, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.9 miles in, with a grade of 18 percent. The trail is on natural surface and allows horses, but not bikes. It is managed by the Forest Service and is open year-round, with the trip estimated to take about 2.5 hours. Benson Lake Trail #3502 and Scott Mountain both lie about half a mile away. Hand Lake is roughly 1.8 miles off, and the Benson Lake/Scott Lake Complex campground is about 2.3 miles away.
