Roaring River Ridge is a 6-mile out-and-back hike in the McKenzie River Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated hard, with a total elevation gain of 3,781 feet over the round trip, and the climb is steady, reaching a high point of 4,345 feet. The route starts at about 4,319 feet and climbs to 4,345 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 0.4 miles in, where the grade reaches 35%. Bikes are allowed on the natural-surface trail. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Wickiup Dam weather station show July highs around 83°F with only about three wet days, while winter highs sit near 40°F. Several other destinations sit within a short drive. The South Fork hike is about a mile away, and the Roaring River canoeing route and Olallie Trail #3529 are each about 1.1 miles off.
