Park Loop is a 1.4-mile loop hike in the Detroit Ranger District of Oregon's Willamette National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail starts and ends at about 4,041 feet, with a total elevation gain and loss of 393 feet each way. The climb is steepest at about 0.85 miles, where the grade reaches 19 percent, but the route is rated easy and takes about half an hour to complete. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Santiam Junction weather station, which sits a few hundred feet lower, show July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 42°F. Winter is cold, with January highs around 38°F and lows near 24°F. Several other outings lie close by. Flat Loop and West Side Tie are cross-country ski routes within half a mile, and Maxwell Loop is a hike about 0.6 miles away. Big Pool Campground is about 2 miles off.
