Lakes Loop is a 14-mile loop hike in Oregon's Fremont-Winema National Forest, within the Paisley Ranger District. The trail climbs from about 7,400 feet to a high point of 8,046 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,093 feet and a total descent of 1,412 feet. It is rated hard, and its rolling profile makes it a full-day commitment of about five hours. The trail is on natural surface, and it is open to both bikes and horses. It is not accessible. The trip is open year-round, and the nearest town is nowhere near the trail's start, so plan to bring supplies for the full length. Deadhorse Lake Campground and the Cross Over Spur lie just 0.2 miles away, and the Dead Cow Trail is about 0.4 miles off. Campbell Lake Campground is roughly 1.2 miles away.
