Jack Pine Way is a 10-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon's Three Sisters Wilderness, within the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and is rated hard, with a total elevation gain of 647 feet from the start at about 5,176 feet to a high point of 5,594 feet. The route is natural-surface and allows horses, but not bikes. The steepest stretch comes at about 3 miles in, where the grade reaches 14 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Odell Lake show July and August highs around 73 to 74°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days. Williams Lake and Irish Mountain are both within a mile of the trail, and Skookum Creek Campground is about a mile away. For an overnight stay, Box Canyon Guard Station Cabin sits roughly 4.4 miles off.
