Hunts Creek is a hard hike in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness, part of the Detroit Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon. The trail is 13.6 miles long and is an out-and-back route, with a total elevation gain of 3,670 feet. The climb starts at about 4,413 feet and reaches a high point of 6,016 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 2.9 miles in, where the grade reaches 38 percent. The trail is on natural surface and is open to horses. Bikes are not allowed. The trip takes about 6.5 hours and is open year-round. Pamelia Lake and Grizzly Peak are both about 0.6 miles away, and Riverside Campground is about 5 miles off. Pamelia Creek, a canoeing route, is about 2.9 miles away.
