Glacier View is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Oregon's Mount Jefferson Wilderness, within the Sisters Ranger District of Deschutes National Forest. The trail is about 1.4 miles long, with a total elevation gain of about 317 feet, and it reaches a high point of 5,849 feet. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.36 miles in, where the grade reaches 15 percent. The trail is on natural surface, and horses are allowed. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open from about June 15 through October 31. The trip takes about half an hour, so it works well as a quick outing in the wilderness. Old Summit Trail #4014 lies about 0.9 miles away, and the Canyon Creek Meadow Loop Trail and Minto Pass Tie are each about 1.5 miles off. For an overnight stay, Lost Lake campground is about 6 miles away.
