Eightmile Interpretive is an easy, out-and-back hike on gravel in the Barlow Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon. It is accessible and sits at about 3,700 feet, with a low point of 3,672 feet and a high of 3,769 feet. The route gains about 240 feet over 1.1 miles round trip. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Government Camp weather station, about 16.5 miles away, show July and August highs near 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on 20 or more days. The trail starts close to Lower Eight Mile Crossing campground, 0.1 mile away, and Eightmile campground is 0.8 mile off. For a longer outing, the Eightmile Loop hike is 0.7 mile away, and Campfire boulders offers climbing about 1.7 miles away.
