Canyon Vista Trail is a 2.7-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon, about 2.6 miles from the town of Jacksonville. The trail rises from a starting point at roughly 2,606 feet to a high point of about 2,653 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 1.1 miles in, where the grade reaches 15%. The climb is moderate, and the total elevation gain is about 143 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Ruch show May highs around 75°F and October highs around 72°F, while July and August average in the low 90s. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Several other trails start within a short distance.
