Stone Creek is a Forest Service campground in the Zigzag Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon. It sits among several other campgrounds and trails, making it a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Government Camp show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. Vault toilets are the only amenity at the site, and a fee is charged for stays. Stone Creek Group Horse Camp and Hoodview Campground (Timothy Lake, OR) are both about 0.3 miles away, and the Timothy Lake hike starts about 0.4 miles off. Paddlers can reach the Oak Grove Fork Clackamas River about 2.4 miles away.
