Starr Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Blue Mountain Ranger District of Malheur National Forest in Oregon. The land is managed by the Forest Service, and the site has vault toilets. A fee is charged for recreation here. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Seneca weather station put July and August highs around 82°F with only about three or four wet days a month, while winter highs hover near 36°F with lows in the teens. That station sits about 440 feet lower than the campground, so temperatures at Starr run a bit cooler. Swick Old Growth Trail #5021 is about 2.2 miles away, and Canyon Creek offers canoeing about 6.1 miles out. Wickiup Campground is roughly 8.8 miles away, and Tamarack Creek Trail #202 is about 8.3 miles from the campground.
