North Fork Catherine Creek Campground is a Forest Service site in the La Grande Ranger District of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in northeastern Oregon. The campsites are spread out over about a mile along the North Fork Catherine Creek, each set back in the cool evergreen forest. Summer is the most popular time to visit, when the stream's sounds and the forest's shade make it a welcome escape from the heat, and the site is free to use. The North Fork Catherine Creek Trail lies about 1.7 miles away, and the Bottle Creek Trail is about 2.8 miles off. Paddlers can head to South Fork Catherine Creek, roughly 2.9 miles away, and the North Fork Catherine Creek, about 3.4 miles away.
