Hemlock Meadows Campground is a Forest Service site in the North Umpqua Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest, about 0.5 miles from Hemlock Lake. It sits on the south edge of Yellowjacket Glade, a roadless area with elk, sooty grouse, black bear and black-tailed deer. The campground has four campsites and a boat launch with its own parking, and it offers vault toilets. There are no garbage services, so visitors must pack out their trash. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 79°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the upper 30s and regular snow days. Hemlock Lake is right next door, and the Yellow Jacket Loop and Flat Rock hikes are each about a mile away. Lake In The Woods campground is roughly 2.3 miles off.
