Hemlock Lake is a Forest Service campground in the North Umpqua Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest. It sits among a cluster of recreation sites, with Hemlock Meadows campground about half a mile away and Lake In The Woods about 2 miles off. The most comfortable stretch for a visit runs from June through September. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 79°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the upper 30s and regular snow days from December through February. Vault toilets are the only amenity listed. A fee is charged for stays. Flat Rock and Yellow Jacket Loop are both within about a mile and a half for a short outing.
