Foster Bar Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Gold Beach Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in Oregon. It sits about 0.4 miles from the Illahe weather station, which makes its typical averages a good guide to conditions here. The station records typical July and August highs around 90 to 91°F, with lows near 52°F, while September cools to about 86°F. Late spring and early fall are milder, with May highs near 75°F and October highs around 69°F. The campground has flush toilets, and it is not reservable. That makes it a good choice for an impromptu stay rather than a planned trip. Nearby, Southard Lake is about 3.5 miles away and the Wild Rogue Loop about 4.1 miles.
