Cold Spring is a Forest Service campground in the Sisters Ranger District of Oregon's Deschutes National Forest, about 4.4 miles from the town of Sisters. It sits at a similar elevation to the Sisters weather station, which makes its typical averages a fair guide to conditions here. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. July and August typically reach highs in the mid-80s with lows in the low 40s, while winter highs stay in the low to mid 40s with lows near 20. Vault toilets are the only amenity at the site, and a fee is charged for stays. The closest neighbor is Cold Springs Campground (or), just 0.1 mile away, with the Metolius-Windigo Trail and the Four Mile Butte Loop both within about a mile and a half. Indian Ford Campground lies about 3.7 miles off.
